Job purpose and key deliverables
Drive & execute indirect procurement activities following best practice sourcing processes, while ensuring security and flexibility of supply, appropriate quality and lowest total cost of acquisition to deliver significant competitive advantage to the company and support the attainment of savings as per company objectives
Proactively manage indirect spend to ensure quality, timeliness & stability of supply by coordinating, educating and influencing cross-functional teams as well as negotiating for cost minimization to enhance company profitability
Commercial support to Sourcing team members and customers as required
Contribution to the Cost Reduction Programme in accordance with agreed savings targets
Assure supplier management including supplier’s performance evaluation, supplier selection
Support in developing Service Level Agreements with contracted suppliers to promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation & monitor & control performance of suppliers in order to continual performance improvement by suppliers
Business analysis e.g. Pareto, procurement positioning and analysis
Assist Procurement team to communicate, clarify and explain indirect procurement strategy to develop awareness and understanding in designated departments to ensure the fulfilment of indirect procurement objectives
Assists procurement team to conduct user communication programme to develop leadership capability.
Lead by setting personal example of excellence, Guide, motivate and facilitate key internal stakeholders to integrate WOW-GP & Guiding Principles into their way of work by providing support to them.
Develop excellent relationships with internal stakeholders of BATB functions for optimising benefits of purchasing through indirect department
Develop & maintain effective relationship with local suppliers, international suppliers in order to derive overall benefits to the business.
Provide support in the analysis of financial and market data to procurement manager – Indirect Goods & Services, to build and maintain knowledge on all aspects of our external environment, on behalf of our internal customers.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, managing resource and actions from other functions into this process to deliver quality enhancement, cost reductions and improved service.

Graduate in any discipline with brief knowledge on local market environment.
Some knowledge in procurement particularly in the areas of supplier selection, development and negotiation is essential for the role
Interpersonal skills including influencing skills, social skills, the ability to challenge existing ways of working, etc.
Some knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and expected trends; as well as understanding of legal issues and contractual principles to effectively formulate contracts and Service Level Agreements.
Analytical and problem solving skills along with strong understanding of risk management and vulnerability assessment.
